The Cabinet says it is preparing for the roll-out of a voucher stimulus program meant to offset the economic impact of COVID-19.
Under the program, vouchers worth NT$3,000 (US$100) will be available for a price of NT$1,000 (US$30). The vouchers can be used at various stores, hotels, and tourist locations. The program will begin on July 15, with an official website rolling out on July 20.
The vouchers will be available for preorder beginning July 1. They can be purchased through convenience stores, supermarkets, post offices, banks, online payment platforms, and an official website. The Cabinet says that it is working with retailers on conducting stress tests to make sure server capacity can handle demand.
