Taiwan reports five new imported cases of COVID-19
Taiwan's Central Epidemic Command Center announced Tuesday five new imported COVID-19 cases, bringing the count to 467.

The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) reported five new imported COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, bringing the total confirmed cases in Taiwan to 467.

Four of the five new cases flew in on the same flight from the Philippines. The CECC is now monitoring the health conditions of 15 people who were in close contact with the four cases on the flight. Two of the four are a couple visiting family living in the Philippines, while the others were in the Philippines for work.

The fifth new case is a man in his 30s who had returned from Hong Kong, where he had been working for the past six months. Another 12 people on his flight are being monitored by the CECC as well.

Additionally, the CECC is tracking a total of 189 people who came in varying degrees of contact with a migrant worker who tested positive for COVID-19 after returning to Thailand from Taiwan. The CECC said the 189 contacts are being tested and results will come out soon.
