Premier Su Tseng-chang says that the government has no plans to start testing all people entering Taiwan for COVID-19. Su was speaking Thursday during a cabinet meeting in which the mayors of six major cities from across Taiwan took part.
During the meeting, New Taipei Mayor Hou You-yi repeated an earlier call to test all people entering Taiwan on arrival. Currently, all arrivals must go into quarantine for a 14-day period, but only those who show COVID-19 symptoms are tested.
In response, Su said that the current system has had good results and will be kept in place as it is for the time being.
