The foreign ministry says that disease prevention measures are in place for an upcoming visit by a delegation from the Czech Republic.
The 90-member Czech delegation is set to arrive in Taiwan on August 30. The delegation will be led by Czech Senate President Miloš Vystrčil. Other delegation members include academics, lawmakers, and businesspeople.
To ensure public health, all members must test negative for COVID-19 within three days of their departure for Taiwan. Delegation members will then be tested twice more, once upon arrival in Taiwan, and once again during their stay.
Delegation will not be placed in quarantine because other disease prevention measures are also in place, such as restrictions on hotel bookings, daily temperature checks, and a requirement that delegation members wear masks. Staff and participants at all events on the delegation’s itinerary will be required to stagger activities as well.
