The National Immigration Agency’s Taipei service center has launched an online visa application system for international students in Taiwan. The system’s launch comes as Taiwan moves to reopen its borders to students from overseas.
The system allows students to apply for their visa as they await the end of the mandatory 14-days in quarantine that all must undergo upon arrival. The system reduces the risk of COVID-19 transmission by removing the need to appear at an immigration service center in person.
Applications made online take five working days to process. Students can pick up their visas at their designated service center after their time in quarantine is up.
