Taiwanese and Czech officials sign multiple MOUs on cooperation
Taiwan and the Czech Republic sign three MOUs on Monday morning

Taiwanese and Czech officials signed three memoranda of understanding on Monday morning. The memorandums say that both sides will cooperate in the areas of smart cities, startups, and smart machinery.

The Czech officials were part of an 89-person delegation from the Czech Republic headed by president of the country’s Senate, Miloš Vystrčil. The group is in Taiwan on a five-day trip.

The signings took place at a Taiwan-Czech economic, trade, and investment forum in Taipei. Officials from Taiwan’s National Development Council, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ministry of Economic Affairs were present at the forum. Taiwan’s Economics Minister Wang Mei-hua says she hopes that both countries can help adjust one other’s supply chains and prepare for post-pandemic cooperation.
