Air Force Command Headquarters says that a Chinese Y-8 anti-submarine aircraft entered the southwest section of Taiwan’s air defense identification zone on T.
The air force ordered patrolling jets to intercept the Chinese aircraft and chase it out of Taiwanese air space. Anti-air missiles tracked the Chinese plane throughout the operation.
The air force says that this is the 14th time Chinese planes have mounted incursions into Taiwanese air space since September 16.
