Four Taiwanese universities have made it into the 2020 edition of Times Higher Education’s global ranking of universities. Times Higher Education released its list, called The World Reputation Rankings, on Tuesday.
This year’s list has been expanded from the usual 100 universities to encompass the world’s 200 top schools.
National Taiwan University placed 40th on the list, a significant improvement from last year, when it placed between 51st and 60th place.
The other Taiwanese schools to make the list were National Cheng Kung University in the southern city of Tainan, and National Chiao Tung University and National Tsing Hua University in the northern city of Hsinchu. All three universities placed in the 151-175 range.
