The TAIEX closed on Monday afternoon at a record 13,127 points. The weighted index also hit a high of 13,149 during trading hours. The sudden boost to Taiwan's stock exchange was brought on by an uptick in worldwide trading, attributed to the end of the US presidential election.
The TAIEX grew by 154 points on Monday, an increase of about 1.19%. Markets opened at 13,054 points, marking the first time that the TAIEX pushed past the 13,000 mark. Analysts say that it's possible that Taiwan’s stock market will continue to break records in the short term.
