US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has announced that the first round of the Taiwan-US Economic Prosperity Partnership Dialogue will take place on November 20.
This round of dialogue is set to focus on important topics in the construction of stronger economic ties between Taiwan and the US. Topics slated for discussion include the consolidation of supply chains, 5G security, semiconductors, the development of basic infrastructure, approval of investments, women’s economic empowerment, public health, and cooperation in the fields of science and technology.
This first round of dialogue will take place both virtually and in person, with a Taiwanese delegation meeting with US officials in Washington, DC, and Taiwanese government officials joining in virtually from Taipei.
