Taiwan saw four new imported cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday. The new cases bring the total number of cases Taiwan has recorded so far up to 584.

Three of the new patients are Indonesian women who came to Taiwan to work on October 28. They tested positive for COVID-19 while in quarantine.

The other new patient is a Belizean man who came to Taiwan for business on October 24. He didn’t have any symptoms until October 31, and continued to monitor his health even after his quarantine period was over. The Taiwanese company he is doing business with asked him to get tested once more, and a further test came back positive on November 10.

Beginning November 9, people arriving in Taiwan who have had symptoms of COVID-19 within the previous 14 days must be tested for COVID-19 at the airport and wait for test results at designated quarantine venues. They must test negative twice and have a doctor’s approval in order to complete their quarantine period at home or at a designated hotel.
