Taiwan’s Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) says Indonesian migrant workers will be prohibited from entering Taiwan for two weeks. The measure will go into effect on December 4 and last until December 17.
The rules come in response to a recent uptick in imported COVID-19 cases among Indonesian migrant workers. On Monday, 20 Indonesian citizens coming to Taiwan for work were confirmed to have COVID-19.
The CECC says it will continue monitoring the situation and decide whether to extend the moratorium, or partially lift the restriction.
