Presidential Office dismisses Cabinet reshuffle rumors
Presidential Office Spokesperson Xavier Chang

The Presidential Office has rejected rumors that the Cabinet is due for a reshuffle. Presidential Office Spokesperson Xavier Chang said Friday that there are no plans for personnel changes in the Cabinet.

Chang said that President Tsai Ing-wen finds her current Cabinet, under the guidance of Premier Su Tseng-chang, capable. Chang said that Tsai believes the current Cabinet can bring Taiwan safely through the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, he said that Tsai believes the current Cabinet is capable of handling future economic challenges.

Chang said baseless rumors of a reshuffle have no value, and will only serve to hurt the administration’s ability to help Taiwan’s people.
