Taiwan reported two new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases Taiwan has reported so far up to 721.

The Central Epidemic Command Center says that one of the new patients is a Burmese man who came to Taiwan on November 22. He had tested negative for COVID-19 within three days of his departure for Taiwan. While in quarantine, he didn't have any symptoms.

However, after his quarantine ended on Monday, he took a special bus to another location to begin monitoring his health for an additional period. He also took a COVID-19 test at his own expense. This time, he tested positive.

The other new patient  is an Indonesian man who came to Taiwan on November 21 to work. He had also tested negative for COVID-19 within three days of departing for Taiwan. He did not have any symptoms during quarantine. However, another test administered after his period in quarantine ended has come back positive.
