Taiwan’s Central Weather Bureau says that Taiwan can expect a chilly New Year’s Eve weekend. On Friday, forecasters said that the next five days will bring seasonal winds and slightly warmer conditions. Average temperatures will hover between 15-20C across Taiwan.
However, the incoming weather system is also expected to bring the first cold front of the winter season. The Central Weather Bureau says that this cold front will hit Taiwan on December 30. Temperatures across the island will then drop abruptly. The Central Weather Bureau predicts that temperatures in Taipei will fall as low as 8C on New Year’s Eve.
