COVID-19: Taiwan records four new imported cases
The CECC confirmed four new cases of COVID-19 on Friday

Taiwan recorded four new imported cases of COVID-19 on Friday. The new cases bring the total number of cases Taiwan has recorded so far to 781.

One of the new patients is an asymptomatic woman from the Philippines who came to Taiwan for work. The woman tested positive for COVID-19 after completing a 14-day quarantine period upon arrival.

The second new patient is an Indonesian woman who arrived in Taiwan on December 16 and exhibited mild symptoms on arrival.

The third new patient is a Taiwanese man who had traveled to Pakistan in November to visit family. He returned to Taiwan on December 23. The man presented a negative PCR test upon arrival, but because he exhibited COVID-19 symptoms, health officials tested him again. This test came back positive on Friday.

The final new patient is a Taiwanese man who works in the United States. He returned to Taiwan on December 20. He began exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 on December 22 and 23 and tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday.
