The Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) has joined hands with the 104 online job bank to launch an online platform for jobs and internships serving the global Taiwanese community. The launch ceremony was in Taipei on Tuesday.
OCAC Minister Tung Chen-yuan said that Taiwanese companies and companies run by overseas Taiwanese can use the platform to post jobs and internships. These jobs may be suitable for overseas Taiwanese students, local students, foreign students in Taiwan, and those who have worked in Taiwan.
Tung outlined the four aims of the platform at the launch ceremony. It aims to help overseas students in Taiwan to find jobs. It can also help Taiwanese students and foreign students in Taiwan to find jobs in companies owned by overseas Taiwanese. The platform can also help migrant workers in Taiwan to find jobs at Taiwanese companies in their home countries. Finally, he said the platform aims to help companies run by overseas Taiwanese find suitable talent.
The platform also offers career counseling services for applicants. Tung said that he hopes the platform will be helpful for overseas Taiwanese businesses and for developing Taiwan’s talent.
