Taiwan recorded three new cases of COVID-19 on Friday. The latest cases push the total number of cases the country has recorded so far past 800, to 802.
Two of the new patients are Indonesians who came to Taiwan to work in the fishing industry. Both arrived in Taiwan on December 17 and underwent a 14-day quarantine period. At the end of their quarantine periods both tested positive for COVID-19, although both are asymptomatic.
The other new patient is a Taiwanese man who lived in the US prior to arriving in Taiwan on December 26. The man began exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 on December 29, and was confirmed to have COVID-19 on Friday.
