Taiwan has seen two new cases of COVID-19. Both of them are imported. The new cases bring the total number of confirmed COVID-19 patients in Taiwan to 817.

The spokesman for the Central Epidemic Command Center, Chuang Jen-hsiang, said on Tuesday that both female patients are Taiwanese nationals arriving from the United States. They tested positive Tuesday after returning to Taiwan on Sunday.

As for the Vietnamese migrant worker who tested positive after returning to Vietnam at the end of last year, Chuang said there is a possibility that she could be false positive.

Chuang said that’s because seven of the nine people the migrant worker had come in contact with all tested negative, with the remaining two to be tested soon.
