Health Minister Chen Shih-chung and his Slovenian counterpart, Janez Jansa, have shared their experience in containing the COVID-19 outbreak in a videoconference Wednesday.
The two also exchanged their views on disease prevention measures, vaccinations, and the state of the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide.
Jansa thanked Taiwan for donating medical supplies to Slovenia last year. He also praised Taiwan for keeping COVID-19 at bay, saying that he admired the Taiwanese government’s high level of caution about COVID-19 and its decisive implementation of prevention measures.
Chen, for his part, thanked Slovenia for supporting Taiwan’s bid to participate in the World Health Assembly. He said that the COVID-19 pandemic has made the fact that “there are no boundaries when it comes to disease prevention” more apparent.
