Taiwan reported no new COVID-19 infections on Monday. It was a bright moment for health officials, who had been scrambling to contain a cluster infection at Taoyuan General Hospital that began on January 11.
The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) says that the outbreak at the hospital has not expanded since it confirmed two domestic cases on Sunday. So far, officials have confirmed 15 COVID-19 cases connected to the hospital.
The CECC has published a list of places that COVID-19 patients have visited. Health Minister Chen Shih-chung is urging people who have gone to those locations to monitor their own health.
