The head of Slovakia’s Bratislava Region, Juraj Droba, has thanked the southern Taiwanese city of Kaohsiung for a donation of 300,000 masks.
The masks were manufactured by a Kaohsiung-based company, and feature the seals of Kaohsiung and the Bratislava Region as part of their design. The masks arrived in Slovakia in early January, and will be distributed to medical workers, workers in social welfare agencies, and caregivers in care facilities such as nursing homes.
Droba said he hopes to be able to personally thank Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi-mai for the donation in the future.
