Premier Su Tseng-chang has hailed progress on Tainan’s Shalun Green Energy Technology Demonstration Site.
The site is the center of a project to develop green energy technology, showcase a green living environment, and create a green energy industry chain. Other goals include encouraging public use of green energy and green technologies through educational outreach.
During a visit to the site on Friday, the premier noted the growth of the site under successive premierships. He said that in the future, the site will continue to develop, with plans to build a convention center as well as a southern Taiwan branch of Taiwan’s top research institute, Academia Sinica.
