Taiwan has been ranked as the 28th least corrupt country in the world in a survey by anti-corruption watchdog Transparency International.
Taiwan placed 7th in the Asia Pacific, following New Zealand, Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, and Bhutan.
The Taiwan chapter of Transparency International says that Taiwan still has a long way to go before it can catch up with Singapore, Hong Kong, and Japan. The organization encouraged the government to continue to remain transparent in its epidemic prevention policies.
New Zealand and Denmark remain as the least corrupt countries.
