Taiwan saw three new imported cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. That was the word from the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC).
The three cases are from the US, Japan and the Philippines.
The center also said there were no new cases in the Taoyuan cluster infection and there are 4,325 in home quarantine related to the hospital cluster infection.
Currently, 19 people have been confirmed to have COVID-19 from that hospital cluster infection -- two doctors, four nurses, one migrant caregiver, six relatives of two of the nurses, two hospital patients, three relatives of the two patients, and a contact of one of the patients.
The center said it will expand the scope of COVID-19 testing this week to cover all people working at Taoyuan General Hospital to make sure no coronavirus patient is missed.
Taiwan has a total of 915 cases. Of them, 805 are imported, 75 are domestic, 36 were from a navy ship cluster infection, 2 were infected on an aircraft and one case has an unknown source. Eight of the patients have died, 832 have recovered and 75 are still in isolation at hospital wards.
