Taiwan not only has a lot of great food, it has a variety of delicious breakfast specialties. That's the topic of a new picture book that artist "Passion Fruit” just published.
Passion Fruit is a Taiwanese artist based in Japan. While in Japan, she began missing Taiwan's soy milk and breakfast shops. She spent three years, taking several trips throughout Taiwan, to complete this unique picture book called Taiwan Breakfast Map.
She said that she was able to appreciate not only the food of various places but the people and culture behind them. In addition to introducing famous breakfast foods from 19 cities across Taiwan, she also highlights popular destinations and local ways of life.
She said that though many people lead busy lives, they ought to treat themselves to a good Taiwanese breakfast.
