Taiwan reported one new domestic case of COVID-19 as well as four new imported cases on Thursday.

The new domestic case is related to a nurse infected in a cluster infection centered on a Taoyuan hospital. With this new case, all of the nurse’s seven family members are now confirmed COVID-19 patients. The nurse’s mother-in-law has died of COVID-19.

Meanwhile, the four imported cases are Taiwanese citizens who have recently returned from the US and France.

Taiwan has reported a total of 933 cases of COVID-19 since the COVID-19 pandemic began. 817 cases have been imported, with 77 others traceable to a domestic source of infection. 36 more cases have been linked to a cluster infection aboard a navy ship, two were infected on aircraft, and the source of one final case remains unknown. A total of nine have died of COVID-19 in Taiwan, while 74 are still being treated in isolation wards.
