Taiwan reported one new case of COVID-19 on Friday. The case is imported. The patient is an Indonesian man who had come to Taiwan on February 4 to work as a fisherman.
The man brought a negative COVID-19 test result with him, taken within three days of his departure for Taiwan. However, an additional test taken since the man was put into quarantine in Taiwan has come back positive. The man is reportedly asymptomatic.
This is Taiwan’s 941st case of COVID-19 since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
