The Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association is planning to hold an event to thank Taiwan for it’s assistance following the 2011 Tōhoku Earthquake, which killed more than 15,000 people.
The event will take place at Huashan 1914 Creative Park in Taipei, starting on March 10, the eve of the ten-year anniversary of the disaster. It will include live music, an exhibition, and a market, which will last through March 21.
On Monday, the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association shared its gratitude, saying that Taiwan has always cared for Japan as if it were family. In addition to donating over ¥25 billion (US$234 million) in funds, Taiwan also sent supplies and volunteers to assist in rescue efforts.
