The US State Department announced Thursday that the US and Taiwan will join forces to help the African nation of Eswatini develop its IT industry.
The Taiwan and US embassies in Eswatini recently arranged a virtual meeting between Taiwanese and American business executives and representatives from Eswatini’s Ministry of Commerce. Participants discussed high tech collaboration projects, including the establishment of a regional e-commerce center in Eswatini that could serve all of southern Africa.
The State Department says the three-way partnership also aims to develop some of Eswatini’s other important industries.
