Foreign Minister Joseph Wu says that friendly countries around the world are ramping up cooperation when it comes to dealing with the China issue. Wu was speaking Wednesday during a session of the Legislature’s foreign affairs committee.
Wu pointed to cooperation between the “Quad”, an informal security dialogue between the US, Japan, Australia, and India. He also cited the so-called “2+2” meetings between the US secretaries of state and defense and their counterparts in Japan and South Korea. In addition, Wu noted the US Defense Secretary’s recent visit to India and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s attendance of a NATO summit.
He said that with increasing international coordination and cooperation on China, Taiwan has nothing to worry about.
