A group of Taiwanese and Czech experts have held an online forum on public health.
During the event Wednesday, Former Vice President and noted epidemiologist Chen Chien-jen hosted the closing discussion. Chen shared Taiwan’s experience in epidemic prevention since the SARS outbreak, and his view that strengthened international cooperation is key to controlling outbreaks of disease.
Meanwhile, the head of the Czech Senate’s science committee, Jiří Drahoš, praised Taiwan’s success in keeping COVID-19 at bay. He also thanked Taiwan for its donations of masks, mask-making equipment, and respirators to the Czech Republic.
