The first 100 people who traveled to Palau under a travel bubble have tested negative for COVID-19. The program, which began this month, allows people to travel between the two countries with minimal quarantine restrictions.
The first travel bubble tourists are back in Taiwan as of April 4. They had to monitor their health for five days and then get a COVID-19 test between April 9-11.
On Monday afternoon, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) said that all tests came back negative. Health Minister Chen Shih-chung says the CECC is considering even looser restrictions for travelers returning from Palau.
