Officials and experts from the Czech capital, Prague, have held an environmental dialogue with representatives from Taiwan just before Earth Day. Topics of discussion during Wednesday’s meeting included the circular economy, waste disposal, and sustainability policies.
Both sides shared their environmental efforts and goals. Prague Mayor Zdeněk Hřib spoke about Prague’s goal of going carbon neutral before 2050. Meanwhile, Taiwan’s Foreign Minister Joseph Wu spoke about Taiwan’s efforts to build offshore wind farms. Wu said he believes that Taiwan and the Czech Republic share the same values when it comes to environmental issues.
