The foreign ministry and Taiwan’s external trade council have launched a plan that aims to match foreign students in Taiwan with Taiwanese firms that need their cultural and linguistic expertise.
The plan specifically targets students from Taiwan’s diplomatic allies as well as students from Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. It seeks to help Taiwanese firms seeking to expand into these regions find suitable future employees. It will also give these students employment opportunities and a chance to gain experience, either in Taiwan or in their home countries working for Taiwanese firms.
A series of events is planned from May to August to connect foreign students with Taiwanese firms that need their expertise.
