Transportation Minister Wang Kwo-tsai on Tuesday said that China Airlines will speed up the vaccination of all its pilots with the COVID-19 vaccine. That’s after the national airline reported nine pilots of cargo carriers had tested positive for the virus within the last week.
Wang said there are approximately 1,200 pilots at China Airlines. In the past, the company had been giving vaccines to only ten pilots a day. Wang said now the number of pilots vaccinated will be 60 per day.
Wang said they are also investigating the possible sources of the cluster infection.
