COVID-19 antibodies detected in two students connected to pilot outbreak
A school in New Taipei City is disinfected after two students test positive for COVID-19 antibodies

Two students at a New Taipei school have tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies. Both students are children of China Airlines pilots who also tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies.

China Airlines’ pilots are being tested for COVID-19 after one of the company’s pilots was confirmed to have the disease on April 20. As of Wednesday afternoon, six of the airlines’ pilots have tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies, while three more are awaiting results.

The New Taipei City Government has suspended the school’s operations and moved classes online for one week. It is also looking at 193 contacts of the two students. Meanwhile, the school is being disinfected.
