Taiwan is sending oxygen concentrators to India amid a surge in COVID-19 cases that has left Indian hospitals short of oxygen.
Oxygen concentrators are machines that remove nitrogen from the air, leaving oxygen-enriched gas for medical use. The machines are being sent amid a shortage. On Wednesday, Deputy Foreign Minister Miguel Tsao told lawmakers that the shipment of oxygen concentrators could be shipped out before Sunday, though he did not say how many machines the shipment will contain.
