Taiwan reported 335 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, the third day in a row of record-breaking numbers. The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) said on Monday that 333 of those new cases are local infections, two are imported.
The majority of the new domestic transmissions are located in the major metropolitan areas of northern Taiwan. Taipei reported 158 new cases, of which 89 are in Wanhua District, the center of a major outbreak. New Taipei City reported 148 new cases, including 41 in Banqiao District, where Far Eastern Memorial Hospital is located.
