COVID-19: Taiwan records 315 new cases
Friday's new cases bring the total number of COVID-19 cases Taiwan has recorded so far up to 3,139.

Taiwan recorded 315 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, including 312 of domestic origin.

These new cases bring the total number of COVID-19 cases Taiwan has recorded so far up to 3,139.

The bulk of the domestically-transmitted cases announced Friday were reported in New Taipei, where 144 new cases were reported, and in Taipei, where 127 cases were reported.

There were also 13 cases in Taoyuan City, nine in Keelung City, five in Taichung City, five in Changhua County, four in Kaoshiung City, two in Yilan County, one in Pingtung County, one in Nantou County, and one in Yunlin County. As for the cluster outbreaks, there were 107 cases from Taipei's Wanhua District, 73 from teahouses, six from a social club, and five from a fruit business. 

The remaining three cases announced on Friday were imported. The three patients in these cases had recently arrived in Taiwan from the US, Canada, and the Philippines, respectively.
