Taiwan saw 302 new local cases, two imported cases and 331 backlogged domestic cases announced on Wednesday. There were also 11 new deaths among the confirmed cases of COVID-19. That was the word from the Central Epidemic Command Center.
Among the 302 new domestic cases announced, 158 are men and 144 are women. They contracted the disease between May 8 and May 25. The total by city and county are as follows:

Of the 331 backlogged cases, 160 are male and 171 are female. They contracted the disease between May 14 and May 25. Most of the cases were in greater Taipei. The cases by city and county are as follows:

Of all the domestic cases announced on Wednesday, 209 had visited Taipei’s Wanhua District, 35 were connected to tea parlors (adult entertainment venues), and three to the Lion’s Club. There are known sources for 170 cases, while 122 have unclear sources and 94 are being investigated.
The eleven deaths include nine men and two women who were all aged 50 and above. They contracted the virus between May 7 and May 25, were confirmed with COVID-19 from May 21-May 26 and died between May 23 and May 25. Seven of them had a history of chronic diseases and nine had visited Wanhua or had contact with confirmed cases.
