Taiwan has seen clusters at two electronics factories in Miaoli County this week with a total of 140 cases confirmed so far.

The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) is testing the over 10,000 employees at the two companies, Greatek and King Yuan Electronics Corp. (KYEC). They are located in Zhunan Township, a hub for factories in Miaoli County.

The factory with the first outbreak has a total of 131 confirmed cases including 14 Taiwanese and 117 migrant workers. The second factory has nine cases.

Meanwhile, officials say they have already received calls from about 300 companies that are interested in conducting rapid testing on employees. Medical personnel are required in the rapid testing process, and the CECC says it is connecting companies with licensed staff who can do the job.
