COVID-19 (6/8): Taiwan reports 219 cases, 22 deaths

Taiwan reported 219 new domestic cases of COVID-19 and 22 deaths on Tuesday.  

The patients contracted the disease between May 22 - June 7. 

The location of these new cases by city and county are as follows:

New Taipei City 123

Taipei 54

Miaoli County 16

Taoyuan City 13

Keelung City 8

Changhua County 2

Tainan City 1

Hsinchu City 1

Taichung City 1

Of the 42 cases outside of Greater Taipei, a source is known for 36 cases and unknown for 6. 

Of the 22 deceased, 15 were men and 7 were women aged 30 and over. They contracted COVID-19 between May 13 - 30 and died between May 30 - June 7. Taiwan has seen a total of 308 deaths from COVID-19.
