We all know we should wear a mask and social distance when we go outdoors during the pandemic. But what do we do when we go home? Here are a few helpful tips from a dermatologist.
If you want to be safe from the coronavirus at home, Dermatologist Dr. Chia-ying Chang has six tips. First, keep rubbing alcohol outside your door, so you can spray the door knob before you open the door.
Second, spray alcohol on your clothes, bag and wallet, and throw away your mask. Next, hang up your outer garment and hat. If you have a package with you, spray it down before bringing it indoors. The next tip is key: wash your hands and take off your clothes. While you’re at it, go take a shower and wash your hair. Dr. Chang suggests you use warm water to shower and leave the shampoo in for at least 20 seconds before rinsing. She says you probably shouldn’t use hair gel or hair spray. That way the virus won’t stick to your hair.
When you’re done with all that, you can relax and enjoy yourself at home.
