Taiwan reported 75 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, all of them local cases. It is the first time that case numbers have dropped below 100 since the nation’s worst outbreak began in mid-May.

The addition of 20 new fatalities from the virus brings the death toll from the beginning of the pandemic to 569. The deceased include 14 men and six women.

Of the 75 new local cases announced on Monday, 35 were men and 40 were women. They began experiencing symptoms between June 8 and June 20.

The Monday totals (by city/county) are as follows:

New Taipei City: 38

Taipei City: 22

Taoyuan City: 5

Miaoli County: 3

Keelung City: 2

Taichung City: 2

Kaohsiung City: 1

Yunlin County: 1

Changhua County: 1

Officials say that they know the source of transmission for all the 15 newly recorded cases outside of the Greater Taipei area.
