Taiwan reported 78 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, one imported case and six deaths. This is the second day in a row that Taiwan saw cases in the double digits.

Taiwan had been reporting cases in the triple digits ever since May 15, when it’s biggest outbreak became apparent and Level 3 restrictions began in Greater Taipei.

The Tuesday totals by city and county are as follows:

New Taipei City: 43

Taipei City: 25

Nantou County: 3

Keelung City: 2

Miaoli County: 1

Changhua County: 1

Taoyuan City: 1

Taichung City: 1

Hsinchu County: 1

The Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) also said that pregnant women will be added to the priority 6 category. Expectant mothers will also be able to choose between the Moderna and AstraZeneca vaccines.

Of the 78 new local cases announced on Monday, 35 were men and 43 were women. They began experiencing symptoms between June 14 and June 21.

The addition of six new fatalities from the virus brings the death toll from the beginning of the pandemic to 575. Those who passed away include three men and three women with the youngest of the deceased in their 50s. They had contracted the disease between May 19 - June 19 and died between June 17 - June 19.

Of the patients who contracted COVID-19 between May 19 - June 20, 63.2% have recovered.
