The French government announced on Thursday that it has added Taiwan to its list of “green” countries whose citizens do not have to be vaccinated before entering France. This lifts all movement restrictions for Taiwanese citizens, even for non-essential travel.
France’s travel guidelines categorize countries into three color-coded groups: green, orange, and red. A country listed as “green” has no active circulation of COVID-19 and none of the highly contagious COVID-19 variants.
The guidelines indicate that citizens of “green countries” who are not vaccinated must present a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of being formally admitted into France. No further testing or quarantine is required upon entry.
France’s list of “green” countries also includes EU countries, as well as Canada, the United States, South Korea, Japan, Israel, Singapore, and New Zealand.
