Taiwan reported 54 domestic cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. There were no imported cases. This marks the lowest number of new cases reported in a single day in Taiwan since the current outbreak began on May 15.
The addition of eight more deaths from the virus brings the death toll from the beginning of the pandemic to 643. The deceased include five men and three women between ages 60 and 90.
The 54 new local cases announced on Tuesday began experiencing symptoms between June 16 and June 28. The Tuesday totals by city and county are as follows:

Hsinchu County:4
Changhua County: 2
Keelung City: 1
Pingtung County: 1
Of the cases that contracted COVID-19 from May 11 - June 27, 75% have recovered.
