Poultry market near Huannan Market closed for three days
Agriculture Minister Chen Chi-chung says that in addition to closing the market, authorities will carry out PCR testing for all 800 market workers and contractors.

Taiwan’s agriculture council says that a poultry market near the center of a recent COVID-19 outbreak will be closed for three days. That comes after 41 people tested positive for the virus at the neighboring Huannan Market in Taipei.

Agriculture Minister Chen Chi-chung says that in addition to closing the market, authorities will carry out PCR testing for all 800 market workers and contractors. Workers who test negative will be allowed to resume work at the market starting July 7.

The agriculture council says it will work with authorities in New Taipei and other parts of the country to ensure a stable supply of poultry for Taipei.
