Taiwan’s Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) has launched a digital learning platform that consolidates the country’s online learning resources. The launch on Monday is the result of a collaborative effort with educational bodies across Taiwan.
OCAC Minister Tung Chen-yuan says Taiwan’s higher education and vocational training programs receive global acclaim. However, he says the country’s online learning resources are scattered across a number of different websites, making them difficult for students to find. Tung says the new platform brings together all the paid and free learning resources Taiwan’s education establishments have to offer. He hopes that will allow students easier access to the programs they require.
So far, the platform offers access to more than 200 courses on language learning, industry and management skills, emerging technologies, and Chinese instruction.
The OCAC says it is welcoming proposals for future partnerships with Taiwanese education establishments and tech firms.
